Picture this- that tiny, squirming baby, swimming in your belly all grown up! And they're expecting a little one of their own- your grandchild! You're chatting to them (or their partner) about the pregnancy: the cravings, the random aches and pains, the excitement of it all... And then you pull out your maternity photos. The ones you had taken all those years ago. To celebrate this amazing part of your life- how much you loved your baby before you'd even held them in your arms. And for what feels like the thousandth time, you pore over them. This time with your grandchild kicking at her mummy's tummy right next to you. And you see them with fresh eyes. You compare bumps, you tell a new mother-to-be about that weird dream you had the night before your little one was born. Memories come flooding back and it's almost like you're back there again. Maybe tired and a little anxious. Definitely beautiful and radiant with life, waiting wondrously to meet the new love of your life.

where your baby's story begins
Usually best taken at 30-34 weeks, maternity sessions can be done outdoors or in studio.
You can choose some gorgeous gowns from my client closet or even have a brand new one purchased for your session.
Partners and siblings are always welcome (and encouraged) to attend.
Classic Sessions are a deluxe experience featuring professional hair and make-up, full client closet access and you choice of location.
Petite Sessions are shorter studio sessions which include your choice of gown from the client closet and a variety of different backdrops.

She chose Araluen Botanic Park at springtime when the tulips were in bloom for a lovely, colourful session.

Lerissa and her beautiful family chose the beach for their Perth maternity session. We started with some photos in the adjacent park and slowly made our way to the water. Lerissa chose three gowns from my client closet and matching flower crowns.

Petite sessions also available
Maternity Sessions are available as Classic or Petite Sessions.
Classic sessions are a luxury experience including professional hair and make-up, access to up to five gowns from the client closet and the option to have your session in studio, outdoors, in home, or a combination.
Petite sessions are shorter sessions which include use of one gown from the client closet and the option of a studio session or an outdoor session in Bibra Lake.

Breathe life into your photos with beautiful artwork to cherish for generations
First, let's work out a session date- usually for between 30 and 34 weeks gestation. Based on your booking date, I can let you know which gown vendors will be able to ship to us in time for your session.
You can choose a gown from my Pinterest wish-list or let me know if there's something else you've got your eye on. If there's a particular style you'd like, I can suggest some possibilities. If you've already found the gown of your dreams, I can let you know if it would be a good fit for my client closet.
1. Book in your session
2. GET THE GOWN
Once you've chosen your dream gown, I'll get an invoice to you for the amount of the gown (usually at the same time as the invoice for your deposit). As soon as you've paid, I'll order the gown and have it delivered to me.
I'll let you know once your gown arrives and get it ready for you- including hand-washing or dry-cleaning, if required. If you want to try it on before your session, we can make a date for that. Otherwise, you'll find it ready to go on your session date.
3. GETTING IT READY
Once your gallery goes online, the amount you paid for the gown will be reimbursed to you as a credit towards the collection of your choice.
Your beautiful gown will live its life in my client closet, adorning belly after lovely belly and helping to bring out the inner Goddess in even more Perth mums.
4. AFTER YOUR SESSION
As of February, 2022, there's no additional fee for the new gown promotion- this is subject to change, however. Please check in with me for the latest information.
The gown you choose must be approved by your photographer (me). In most cases I won't order the gown in a size smaller than medium. We can use clips to pin the gown back (not noticeable in the photos) if needed. Larger sizes can definitely be ordered.
Your gown will not be returned if you need to cancel your session. For this reason, the amount paid is not refundable. The amount you've paid is usually transferable to another session- please contact me for more details.
5. The Small Print
Leah was fantastic. We did two sessions with her less than a fortnight apart: a maternity and then a newborn lifestyle session. My husband and I aren't super comfortable in front of the camera but Leah made it feel natural and relaxed. The dresses were flattering on my pregnant and then postpartum body and made me feel beautiful!
The final photos were stunning and captured our little family vibe perfectly. The process to select/edit/print was very smooth, with great communication. Can't recommend her highly enough!
